Work in Progress - Changes to Calendar

Nick W. and TS are currently experimenting with calendar synchronisation. This may cause some temporary double entries for events in June. Apologies for any confusion.

The plan is to synchronise our calendar to a public Google calendar, which can be linked into personal calendars. We will give more instructions on how to do this when we have tested the new feature.

RSC Midweek Series #3 on Wednesday

We are well into this year’s RSC Midweek Series but unfortunately a change in email distribution lists has left quite a few people out of the loop. Apologies for those who have missed the first two races as a result.

Anyway, the next race is scheduled for Wednesday night (21/5) starting at 18:45.

The forecast is for a busy sky with dark clouds and sun. Force 3 winds from the east may freshen up under the clouds.

Club race on May 17th is cancelled due to rowing activity

The river will be very busy during the Putney Town Regatta rowing race and the slipway even more crowded. No chance we can get our boats out. We have to cancel our race.

Club Race on Sunday the 18th is scheduled to go ahead as planned.

A sparklingly clean boathouse....

Another burgee bites the dust......

Good turnout at today's Workday at 9:30. We cleaned out all the boatsheds, which had become quite muddy form the many high tides recently coming across the road.

Sail bags, boat covers and old sails were being sorted and organised. Greg, Chris I. and Nick L. fixed club boats, while Chris E. was in charge of cleaning out the trailer park. Una finished her plastering work in the men's changing room and a new hosepipe was also installed. Una and Nick also cut an old trolley into handy pieces that could go into the dump.

Champagne Reception for Ranelagh's 125th Birthday

Ranelagh celebrated its 125th Birthday in style!

The 60 odd guests were greeted by their first glass of Champagne before they had even taken off their coats. And the junior members were all over the place with little trays to serve finger-food, which Brian had been cooking all afternoon.

Winter Points 2014 - including WP16

Results after the first 16 races of the Winter Point Series 2014. Races 8 & 9 cancelled for weather.

RNLI Trophy 2014

Congrats to Henri Schricke for winning the RNLI Trophy on 19 January 2014.

Downriver race moved forward to Sat 25th

The downriver race was originally scheduled for Sunday 26th January but the strong rain and flood delays implies that the tide would turn late, potentially after sunset. The race has therefore been moved forward to Saturday 25th at 13:15.

The actual start may get delayed by a few minutes depending on flood conditions.

Winter sun for the RNLI Trophy race

For the first trophy race of the year, 10 boats went out for three short laps in light winds and beautiful winter sunlight. As the sun set the wind disappeared and only Henri, Chris and Una made it to the last turning mark and finished the race before the outgoing tide became too strong.
